How does the invitation behave over time?
A published invitation is governed by two timestamps you set — the start and the end — and the rules hang off them. Duration must be between 1 and 24 hours, and the start must be at least five minutes in the future when you create it.

What does a guest actually hand over?
A nickname between 2 and 16 characters, unique inside that one invitation, and a gender option. Nothing else, and nothing that follows them to the next gathering — the session lives in an HttpOnly cookie holding a random device id, scoped to the invitation and its window. One browser can hold independent sessions for several invitations at once, which matters more than it sounds when two friends send you two POOK links in the same week. The invite token is never left in the address bar or in local storage.
- The optional note to the host is capped at 120 characters, kept only on an attending answer, and never appears in the aggregate recap.
- Chat messages run 1–300 characters; a Memory Capsule sentence is up to 280 characters and stays private to its author.
- Uploaded photos have their EXIF and location metadata stripped, at 800 KB per file and 30 photos per session.
- Joins, RSVPs, chat, photos and AI drafting are all rate-limited, and Cloudflare Turnstile guards against bots.

What is simply not here?
No SMS or email invitations, no reminders sent by POOK, no address book import, no CSV export, no ticketing or guest payments, no plus-one or meal-choice fields, no seating chart, no registry, no printing, no custom domains, no native app, and no public directory of events. Under-14 data is not knowingly collected, analytics cookies only run after consent, and GDPR and CCPA rights are honoured — POOK does not claim any compliance certification. Governing law is that of the Republic of Korea.

Do my guests need to download an app or create an account?
No. POOK is web-only. A guest opens the link or scans the QR code in a normal browser, picks a temporary nickname, and answers. There is no app, no password and no participant login.
What information do you collect about guests?
A nickname of 2–16 characters, a gender option, the RSVP answer and an optional 120-character note. Guests are never asked for a real name, phone number or email address.
Can a guest change their RSVP later?
Yes, at any time while the RSVP page is open. A still-deciding answer automatically counts as can’t make it 24 hours before the gathering, so the host plans with real numbers.

No. POOK holds no phone numbers or email addresses. Each invitation offers a Google Calendar link and an .ics file with alarms 24 hours and 2 hours before the start, so the reminder comes from the guest’s own calendar.
How long is our data kept?
Participant-level data — nicknames, gender, notes, chat, photos and per-person game records — is deleted 48 hours after the gathering. Private game, message and room graphs are removed after 7 days, and payment records are retained as legally required.
Can one browser hold two different invitations at once?
Yes. Sessions are scoped per invitation and issued server-side, so a single browser can hold independent sessions for several gatherings simultaneously without one overwriting another.
